Tours around Oxford

WALKING TOURS:
Official guided tours give an excellent introduction to Oxford and the University. The tours leave every day from Oxford Information Centre at 11am and 2pm and last about 2 hours. A similar tour leaves Carfax Tower, at 1.45pm on Saturdays and Sundays and normally includes a visit to Christ Church. Extra tours may be available at busy times.

The Inspector Morse Tour departs at 1.30pm on Saturdays, and the Ghost Tour leaves at 7pm on Fridays and Saturdays in Summer. Special tours are available for pre-booked groups. For further information and tickets please contact Oxford Information Centre. Tel 726871.

The Oxford Guild of Guides provide guided walking tours to parties of all sizes. The tours can be booked in advance and full details are on their Web site at www.oxfordguides.co.uk

OPEN TOP BUS TOURS:
Tour Bus tickets are valid all day and you may get on or off the bus at any of the tour stops.

The Oxford Tour (green and cream buses). An hour-long award-winning tour with Guide Friday professional guides. The tour leaves at frequent intervals from Oxford Railway Station and the other stops along the route. Details and tickets from Guide Friday at Oxford Railway Station (A3), at the Oxford Information Centre (B3), or on the bus. Tel 790522 for more details.

Oxford Classic Tour. Provides a headphone commentary in several languages, and leaves frequently from the Town Hall (C3) and Bus Station (B3) and other stops on the route. Get your ticket on the bus. Tel 240105.
